I served as your elected college trustee for over 18 years, opposing new property taxes. Board accomplishments included:
  • Authored administrative restructuring saving $2 million per year, increased college course offerings.
  • Conservative fiscal management, district became debt free in 2008, living within its means.
  • Fully funded retiree benefit obligations, no new taxes or debt.
    Over $200 million, new college construction projects, no new taxes or debt.
  • Proposed and built the Saddleback College Health Sciences Building to train nurses/ paramedics, no new taxes or debt.
  • Upgraded campus police safety equipment, improved campus lighting.
I served on the California Community College League Committees on Legislation and Finance, Trustee and Staff Development, Orange County Legislative Task Force, Board President and Vice President.
